How could we help our client to do the capacity test for memory products?

A: Himory production center is ISO9001certificated, all products are CE, FCC, RoHS, Reach Compliance and 100% H2 tested & QC checked in house before shipment. Himory can provide H2 Test software which can do the real capacity and speed testing for all memory products. You can also test by your software. You may do the test with below simple steps:
(1) install the H2testw on your Windows computer
(2) you can also run a similar tool called “F3” on Mac OS, and an app called SD Insight on Android device
(3) Run the test, it will show you the real capacity of the Micro SD card.

What capacity and speed OEM Micro SD card does Himory offer to clients?

What does the X multiple indicated on the memory card represent?

A: This X multiple is used to indicate the access speed of the memory card. According to the calculation method of the CD-ROM read and write speed, 1X is equal to the transfer rate of 150KB per second. Therefore, the transfer rate of 400X memory card per second can reach 60MB per second, and so on for other X multiples. Please note that the transmission speed may vary depending on the device used.

What is the standard capacity of the Micro SD card that Himory normally offer?

Why can't the device correctly recognize the full capacity of the memory card?

A：This is due to a unit capacity conversion issue. Hardware manufacturers usually define 1K=1000 bytes according to decimal, while software providers (ex: Microsoft) define 1K=1024 bytes according to binary. In addition, every manufacture retains some percentage (2%-5%) of the total capacity for firmware, application software, and data storage maintenance. So, there is the difference between actual capacity and marked capacity.

What do the speed grade symbols on the memory card mean?

A:  Each Memory card has a "Mark" on it describing the speed class. There are two types: UHS Speed class or Speed Class. The “Mark” (i.e. write speed) of the Memory Card for your device should be chosen based upon which application it is going to be used for. The SD Association defines the speed grade standard with the speed symbol. You can use the speed grade symbol to determine which of your memories card can provide the performance required by the device to ensure that the image can be played smoothly. Please refer to the table below:

How to confirm whether the Micro SD memory card is compatible with my devices?

A: Please confirm whether the memory card specifications are compatible with the host devices:
　－SDXC memory card can only be used for SDXC device.
　－SDHC memory card can be used by SDHC device and SDXC device.
　－SD memory cards can be used by SD devices, SDHC devices, and SDXC devices.

Why is the capacity of the USB Flash Drives displayed on the computer always lower than the actual capacity?

A：This is due to a unit capacity conversion issue. In addition, manufactures retain 3~5% of capacity for firmware, application software, and data storage maintenance. So, there is the difference between actual capacity and marked capacity.

When we click the “Safely Remove Hardware” in the Windows tray to remove my USB Flash Drive, the computer prompts that the device is currently in use. What can we do?

A: When the computer prompts that the device is currently in use, you should not pull out the USB Flash Drive at this moment. This may damage your data or the USB Flash Drive FAT table. You may close any programs or windows that might be using the device and then try again. If the computer still prompts the message, you may need to shut down or restart the computer before pulling out the USB Flash Drive.
